Jason "Jay" Spatilson

Jason “Jay” Spatilson Sr., 49, of Atlantic, North Carolina, passed away at his home on Friday, September 20, 2024.

A memorial service to honor Jason’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 26th at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Winkie Chadwick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Jay was born on November 14, 1974, in Greenville, Pennsylvania, to David and Patricia Spatilson. He spent his life on the water, making a career out of his love for fishing and shrimping. Jay was always willing to share his catch with his friends and neighbors. He spent time helping others whenever he could.

A proud supporter of President Trump, Jay was known for his strong convictions and his dedication to the people and values he held dear. Jay will be remembered for his kind and giving heart, always eager to share the fruits of his labor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his sons, Jason Spatilson Jr. (Ashley) of Goldsboro, NC, and Joshua Shane Arthur of Atlantic, NC; sister, Tonya Lester of Atlantic, NC; uncle, Bill Taylor of Greenville, PA; nephews, Ryan Spatilson, Michael Ray Chadwick Jr., and Roy Lester; granddaughter, Vanessa Jaelyn Arthur; mother of his children, Michelle Sadler; and special friend, John Hudnell.

Jay was preceded in death by his loving parents.
