Janice Elizabeth Parys

Janice Elizabeth Parys, 82, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, at her home.

The family will plan a celebration of life service at a later date.

Janice was born on October 6, 1940, to the late Edwin and Mary Culver. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many as both a people person and a dedicated teacher. Her genuine warmth and radiant smile would light up any room, she left an indelible impression on all who met her. Janice was a faithful member of her home church, Lighthouse Assembly of God in Havelock.

She met her forever love Robert and enjoyed over 52 wonderful years with him. While we mourn the loss of a beloved wife, mother, friend, and educator, we take solace in the incredible legacy Janice leaves behind.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 52 years, Robert Parys; daughter, Lisa Pagliari of Rome, Italy; and son, Anthony Joseph Parys (Lisa Ann) of Cleveland, TN; and sisters, Carol Smith (Doug), Judy Chavez (Kevin) and Debbie Sanders (Dave).
