Janice Fulcher Long

Janice Fulcher Long, 74, of Newport, passed away Thursday, January 3­, 2019, at Carteret Health Care.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Cedar Grove Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Tom Supplee.

Janice placed a high value on a job well done and therefore was a hard worker at whatever task she tackled. She was known by many due to her outgoing personality and her caring and giving ways. She will be forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by husband, Johnny Long Sr. of the home; sons, Johnny Long, Jr. and wife Emily of Newport and Wesley Long and wife Tracy of Newport; sister, Myrna Smith and husband Larry of Newport; grandchildren, Kaleigh Long, Rachel Long and Felicia Hartsough; and great-grandson, Jaxson Hartsough.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Durwood and Lala Fulcher.
