Janet "Jan" Edwards

Janet “Jan” Edwards, 74, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, June 19­, 2019, at Atrium Health in Charlotte.

Janet was born and raised in Chelmsford, England. She met her husband while he was stationed in England. His career in the Air Force took the family all over the World. After his retirement, the family settled in North Carolina and had their own HVAC Company. She will be remembered for her gardening and dry sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Vore and husband Matt of Western, NC; son, Lee Edwards of Shelby; sister, Pauline Moore of England; brothers, Michael Moore and Kevin Moore both of England; grandchildren, Krystal Edwards and Kristopher Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Ronald “Ron” James Edwards; parents, Lester Moore and Winifred Moore.
