Janet Adeline Judkins Lina

Janet Adeline Judkins Lina, 88, died on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Her graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 19th at the Sam Eason Cemetery in Davis, North Carolina.

Janet was born on November 4, 1933, in Washington DC to her loving parents, the late Creasy and Margaret (Taylor) Judkins.  Janet grew up in Avondale, Maryland, and was a University of Maryland School of Nursing graduate with a Bachelor’s in Nursing (RN) who worked at the Washington Hospital Center and later in a private practice internal medicine office in Fairfax, VA.  Janet and her husband moved to Lake Ridge, VA in 1998 and she enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family, as well as playing in several bridge groups.  She was a long-time member of Fairfax Baptist Church and later Lake Ridge Baptist Church.  Janet was a very caring and supportive person, always available whenever a friend was in need.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Christy McMann (Corey) of Philomont, VA, and Cathy Fazio (Kenny) of Springfield, VA; and grandchildren Jessica (Tyler), Andrea, Elaina, and Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Carroll Lina.
