Janet Lee Styron Fulcher

Janet Lee Styron Fulcher, 86, of North River, NC, formerly of Cedar Island, NC, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Pruitt Health of the Crystal Coast.

A graveside service to honor Janet’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 15th at North River Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Nelson Koonce.

Janet was born on September 28, 1938, in Cedar Island, NC, to the late Samuel and Naomi Styron. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to her work as a seamstress at Blue Bell Shirt Factory, where she was known for her skill and commitment.

Janet always had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Whether she was sitting on her porch, tending to her yard, or going for a walk, she found joy in the nature and beauty around her.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her stepchildren, Carl Fulcher Jr., Bonny Fulcher Heet (Martin Martel) of Tampa, FL, and Jerry Carlson of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Blondie Goodwin of Cedar Island, NC; brother, Richard Styron (Jo Ann) of Cedar Island, NC; 4 step-grandchildren; and good friend, Otis Goode.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Fulcher Sr.; step-son, James Fulcher; sisters, Addie Goodwin, Ester Gilgo, Caldonia Gaskill, Ellen Goodwin, and Winnie Goodwin; and brothers, Curtis Styron, Harliss Styron, Donald Styron and Bennie Styron.
