Janet Chestnut

Janet Hamilton Chestnut, 92, of Morehead City, passed away Monday, July 12, at Carteret General Hospital.
It is because of the Lord's lovingkindness that we are not consumed; His mercies are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for Him. Lamentations 3: 22, 23
A graveside service will be held 4:00 pm Friday at Bayview Cemetery with Rev. John Chestnut officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at 5121 Holly Lane.
She is survived by her two sons Dr, Alfred Chestnut and his wife Betsy of Jackson, MS, and Rev. John Chestnut and his wife Patty of Long Island, NY; five grandchildren, Page Callen and her husband Grant, Mary Hamilton Chestnut, Ann Claridge Chestnut, Robert Chestnut and his wife Audrey, and Joshua Chestnut and his wife Sarah; and two great-grandsons, Grant Freeman Callen, Jr., and Jacob F. Chestnut.
