Jan Arthur Williams, Jr.

Jan Arthur Williams, Jr., 56, of New Bern, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Carteret Health Care.

Jan was born and raised in Saylorsburg, PA and joined the US Marine Corps at 17, retiring after 24 years of service as a Master Sergeant. He was involved in Operations Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. He was a recent graduate of Park University with a bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management. He was currently employed by Parker Aerospace in Havelock as Warehouse Logistics Manager for KBR. Jan was an avid scuba diver and loved the water. He also served as secretary for the Crystal Coast Officials Association and officiated for many soccer and volleyball matches through the years. He was a very dedicated and loving husband, father, son, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sue Williams of the home; son, Keith Williams of New Bern; daughter, Danielle Williams of Austin, TX; mother, Nina DeLorenzo and husband Arthur of Havelock; father, Jan Williams, Sr. and wife Gerda of The Villages, FL; sister, Willow Williamson and husband Chris of Gig Harbor, WA; also many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorial contributions may be made in Jan’s name to Disabled American Veterans at 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring KY 41076 or the American Heart Association at P.O. Box 744806, Atlanta GA 30374.
