James “Jimmy” Clark Ross II, 91, of Morehead City, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
James was a World War II Veteran who retired from civil service as a Management Analyst. After retirement, he enjoyed working in the Pro Shop of the Morehead City Country Club. In his earlier years, he enjoyed boating in Bogue Sound and sitting on the beach.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet Smith of Morehead City, who lovingly cared for Jimmy for the last fifteen years; his son, Jim Ross and wife Diana of Emerald Isle; and four grandchildren, Jamie Bailey and husband Alan of Morehead City, Aaron Smith and wife Kathryn of Raleigh, Sharon Fults and husband Joel of Dallas, TX and Daniel Ross and wife April of Norfolk, VA; four great-grandsons, Hunter Bailey, Jackson Fults, Jonah Fults, and Jake Fults; and sisters-in-law, Marguerite Mansfield and Jean Ross.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Mansfield Ross; his parents, Emmanuel G. Ross and Janet Haughton Ross; and brother John Ross.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, April 1, 2016 at 204 Lockwood Drive, Morehead City.
