James "Jim" Paul Martin
November 3, 1948 — October 23, 2016
James "Jim" Martin, 67, of Havelock passed away Sunday evening 10/23/16 at Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport.
The family visitation will be held Thursday, 10/27/16 at 1 PM at the Memorial Chapel Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM following visitation also at the Memorial Chapel MCAS Cherry Point with Commander David Shirk, Command Chaplain officiating.
Jim was a retired Master Sergeant who served from 1967 to 1988 in the Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was also a lifelong member of the VFW and worked as a broker in Havelock for Century 21.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Judith Martin of the home, sons Dewayne Martin and wife Suzanne of Piedmont, SC, Troy Dean Martin and wife Tina of Porter, TX, and Jarod David Martin and wife Bonnie of Lompoc, CA, brothers Richard Martin, Charles Martin, and Gerald Wendt, sisters Nancy Martin and Melody Raugh, and five grandchildren Allyson, Trey, Brianna, Andrea, and Isaac.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul R. Martin and Cathy Wendt.
