James “Boysie” Lupton, 73, of Morehead City, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.
His memorial service, with military honors, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor James “Winkie” Chadwick.
Boysie graduated from the Beaufort High School where he was a true “Sea Dog”. After school, he joined the US Army where he bravely served in the Vietnam War. Boysie was a faithful member of Reece’s Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Terry Lupton of the home; daughter, Christina Lupton of Morehead City; sister, Patricia L. Gilgo and husband Lionel of Beaufort; grandchildren, Anthony James Graiba of the home, Cameron Andrews of Hubert, Skylar Andrews of Hubert; niece, Barbara Giglo Hoppe and husband Rick of Wilmington; nephew, Michael K. Gilgo and wife Dora of Wilmington; great nieces, Emily Lauren Hoppe, Brandi Smith and Mackenzie Lewis; great-nephews, Richard Allen Hoppe, Matthew Solomon Gilgo, Nathaniel James Gilgo, Noah Joel Gilgo; and close friends, Anthony Willis, JoAnne Willis, Robert and Sheila Salter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Lupton.
Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home. The family will also be receiving friends this week at the family home on Paulette Road in Morehead City.
