"JD" James Dino Waite

"JD" James Dino Waite, 64, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

James was born on June 4, 1960, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the late James and Aliycia Waite. He was an avid fisherman who loved nothing more than casting a line and reeling in a great catch. James' musical talents were remarkable, he had a beautiful voice and was a skilled guitar player. 

In his professional life, James's craftsmanship as a carpenter was seen countless times during his employment at Tuttle Construction in Florida. He dedicated his skills to creating and building with precision and care.

James later made his home in North Carolina where he resided in Beaufort for nearly three decades. During his lifetime, he touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his children, Nicholas Schnackenberg of Florida and Julie Dawn Waite of Maine, sister, Jammie Gruber (Joseph) of Yanceyville; brothers, John Waite and Jesse Waite, both of Beaufort; his companion, Karen Dedson; granddaughter, Neveah Dawn; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James Waite Jr. and Alycia Willis Waite.
