James "Ellis" Robinson

James Ellis Robinson, 65, of Atlantic, died Thursday December 8, at his home.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday December 11, at Atlantic Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry McInnis and Rev Danny Anderson officiating.
He was a long time member of Atlantic Missionary Baptist church, where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. Ellis had a great love of the water, and was a commercial fisherman for thirty years. He loved his family and he loved to work in his garden.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Judith Robinson of the home: daughter Laura Goodwin and husband Charles of Atlantic: two granddaughters Meredith Goodwin and Katelyn Goodwin of Atlantic: his mother Helen Robinson of Atlantic: and mother in-law Bernice Buchanan of Atlantic : two sisters Helen Stines and husband Paul D. of Atlantic and Peggy Smith and husband Ernie of Maysville: two brothers Wayne Robinson and wife Belinda of Atlantic, and Mark Robinson and wife Cindy of Sea Level: sister in-law Gail Ross and husband Ellis of Apex: four nieces and six nephews: seven great nieces and nine great nephews.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Carteret County PO Drawer 1619 Morehead City, NC 28557 or to a Charity of one's choice.
