James Michael McClatchey

James Michael McClatchey, 70, of Havelock, died Saturday August 7, 2021, at Crystal Coast Hospice House, Newport.

His service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, August 13, 2021, at Munden Funeral Home and Cremations, Havelock location. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, Memphis TN at a later date.

Mr. McClatchey was born in Memphis TN to H.E. and Marguerite McClatchey. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1971 was retired in 1991 as a Gunnery Sergeant. James spent the remainder of his working career with the town of Havelock, in their Parks and recreation Department.

He is survived by his wife, Hatsumi McClatchey of Havelock; one brother, Gene McClatchey and wife Barbara, of Collierville, TN; one nephew, Ryan McClatchey and wife Meredith, of Knoxville, TN; special friend and caregiver, Christina Lafferty of Havelock.

His parents preceded him in death.
