James Blount Hill

James Blount Hill, 94, of Atlantic Beach, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 Friday, at Munden Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mike Friese officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mr. Hill served his country in the US Army and later became a District Sales manager for Home Security Life and also Real Estate Rentals. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Morehead City and was a Mason and a Shriner. He was the kindest man you will ever meet.
He is survived by his daughter, Sue Hill Amerson and her husband Robert of Greenville; sons, James Vernon Hill and his wife Cathy of Morehead City, Walter Dennis Hill and his wife “J” of Atlantic Beach, Melvin Bryan Hill and his wife Judy of Reidsville. He is also survived by grandchildren; Chris Hill, Jeff Hill, Andrea Hill Binkley, Kees Amerson, Tanner Amerson, and Tyler Hill, great-grandchildren; Bryson Hill, Madison Hill, Jackson Hill, Kate Hill, Charlie Binkley, and Cate-Hill Binkley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lilly Hill and his wife Agnes Johnson Hill.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ginny, Alisha, Sheila, and Hospice.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Carteret County, 501 N. 35th Street, Morehead City NC 28557.
