James Denis Guerin, Jr.

James Denis Guerin, Jr., 58, of Morehead City, died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Beaufort County Memorial Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at St. Egbert Catholic Church with Father Doug Smiley officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.
Mr. Guerin was a lifelong resident of Carteret County and graduate of West Carteret High School. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of St. Egbert Catholic Church. A man with a big heart, he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and surfer who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for music and the water.
He is survived by his mother, Freda Robinson Guerin of Morehead City, three sisters, Denise Witte and husband, Dennis, and Michele Giblin and husband, Martin, all of Morehead City, and Beverly Landen and husband, Shane of Atlantic Beach; two nephews, Sean Witte and wife, Katrina, and Eric Witte and wife, Christina; two nieces, Carrie Conner and husband, John, and Michaela Giblin; two great-nephews, Curren Conner, and Jack Conner; great-niece, Ruby Conner; aunts, uncles, and cousins, and significant other, Margaret Midgette of Morehead City.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Denis Guerin, Sr.
The family will recieve friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
