James Wiford Dixon, Jr., 32, of Harkers Island passed away June 18, 2017 at his home.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Munden Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Joel Hancock, Jr. Burial will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery on Harkers Island.
James enjoyed the outdoors by spending time boating and hunting. In his spare time, you could find him at the Cape or Wade Shore. He was a people person who enjoyed spending quality time with friends. James was a hard worker and found fulfillment in a job well done.
James is survived by his parents, Jimmy & Sheila Dixon; sister, Rebekah Dixon of the home; paternal grandfather, Wilford A. Dixon of Harkers Island; paternal uncle, L. Truman Dixon of Sea Level; paternal aunt, Debbie Dixon of Harkers Island; maternal aunts and uncles, Callie Daniels and husband, Paul, Isaac H. Goodwin, B. George Goodwin, Sherman D. Goodwin and wife, Velvet all of Cedar Island, Henry Goodwin and wife, Stephanie of Sea Level; along with numerous loving cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mavis L. Dixon; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Rebekah Goodwin; paternal uncle, Mitchell A. Dixon
Family will see friends Thursday night, June 22, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Munden Funeral Home.
