James "Jerry" Cottle

James “Jerry” Cottle, 79, of Swansboro, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at his home.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Jerry was a member of Beulaville Baptist Church. His favorite Bible verse was Psalm 37.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Mills Cottle of the home; daughter, Audrey Cottle Gardner and husband Benny of Wachapreague, VA; two sons, Terry Cottle and wife Susan and Tim Cottle and Wife Tammy all of Goldsboro; step-daughter, Crystal Lawrence and husband Dwayne of Goldsboro; step-son, Derick Yelverton and wife Jamie of Princeton; his best friends and companions, Cooper and Bandit; also eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Davis Cottle and Lilly Mae Turner Cottle.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to Laretha “Moma” Guthrie with Community Hospice for her kindness and support, and to all others that have touched our lives in the medical field over the years..
