James Edward Chaffee, II

James Edward Chaffee, II, 36, of Beaufort, passed away Monday, June 4­, 2018 at his home.

His memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Impact Church, with Nelson Hopkins officiating.

James played soccer and volley ball and was in choir groups throughout school. He moved to North Carolina after graduating High School in Salem, Ohio. He worked at various jobs from construction to delivery with UPS and Fed Ex. Currently, he was employed at Newport Gun Shop in Newport, NC.

James loved His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a lover of music and was always listening to and singing praise songs to His Lord. He loved surfing, mountain biking and volleyball. He loved his family and spending time with them and his German Shephard, Rhona.

He is survived by his parents, Dan D. Chaffee, Sr. and Donna Bates Chaffee, of Beaufort; sister, Tina Gailey of Columbiana, OH; brother, Dan Chaffee, Jr., of Salem, OH; aunts, Deborah Maple and husband, Jay of East Liverpool, OH, Linda Kunert and husband, Wayne, of Hiram, GA; uncles, Ron Bates and wife, Carla, of Salem, OH, Wayne Bates of East Liverpool, OH, Pierce Chaffee of East Liverpool, OH; nieces Mackenzie Rye Dinsmore and husband, Zachary, of Havelock, NC, Bethany Grace Kittrell of Morehead City, NC; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and his Impact Church family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Elizabeth Chaffee Rye.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Impact Church.
