James Edward Brothers, 71 of Pine Knoll Shores, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his home.

James has been in the tobacco business since he graduated High School. He co-owned United Tabacco in Wilson since it started in 1997.
He is survived by a son Rob Brothers and wife Michele of Wilson; a brother Glenn Brothers; a sister Sue Brothers; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years Brenda H. Brothers, second wife of 13 years Kaye Brothers, his parents Maurice and Wilma Brothers, and a brother Robert Brothers.
