James Larry Floyd, 70, of Cape Carteret, died Wednesday February 8, at home.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Mumford officiating.
Larry was very happy and loved life, and was most content when he spent time with his family. He was a giver and good at cards. Larry was the owner and operator of Kelsey's Steak House in Emerald Isle. In earlier years he worked at the Pavalion in Myrtle Beach where he met his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Pat Floyd of the home: a daughter Stephanie Matas and husband Adam of Cape Carteret, and son Bryan Floyd of Cape Carteret: ten grandchildren: three great grandchildren: a brother Theron Floyd of Greelyville, SC.
He was preceded in death by a son Michael Floyd, his parents Edgar and Juanita Floyd, two brothers Bernette Floyd, and Liggitt Floyd.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
