Jack Dar Metcalf, a Proud Veteran of the US Navy, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family.

The son of the late Charlie and Lessie Metcalf, Jack grew up in Marshall, North Carolina. He was born July 20, 1943, and after high school he joined the Navy.

His life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ".  He made friends everywhere he went and with his warm personality and infectious smile, made everyone feel welcomed and loved.

Jack is survived by his love, Sallie Ritter; daughter, Shaleen Bemus (William); son, William Metcalf (Melanie Metcalf); 5 grandchildren, Addison Bemus, Joseph C. Metcalf, Joseph E. Metcalf, Shaleena Metcalf and Andrew Metcalf. Countless nieces and nephews and 2 siblings, Hal (Naomi) Metcalf and Betty O'Brien; loved ones will remember his love of flowers, music and photography.
