Jack Strand Kreman, 73, of Smyrna, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Carolina East Medical Center.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 3rd at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Paul Gillikin. Interment will follow at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 2nd at Munden Funeral Home. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through their obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.
Jack was born on December 28, 1948, in Sierra Madre, California, to John and Jean Kreman. Being the oldest of eleven children, it created a close-knit family built on the foundation of love and devotion to the Lord. Jack was a proud and loving husband of 27 years and dedicated father. Known as “Papa Jack”, he adored his grandkids who held a special place in his heart.
Following high school, at the young age of 18, Jack joined the Untied States Army where he honorably served until 1972. His time of brave service included being a Vietnam Veteran. In 1978, he obtained his Associate of Arts degree from Antelope Valley College in California. As a faithful provider for his family, he worked diligently with Civil Service as an Aircraft Mechanic, retiring in 2002.
Jack was known for his love of Western movies and playing tunes on his guitar. He enjoyed surfing in Santa Monica and fishing whenever and wherever he could. His artistic ability was incredible, his talents extended to creative drawings and beautiful paintings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Kreman of the home; daughters, Sharon Kreman of North Carolina, Jessica Trigleth (Bobby) of North Carolina, Sheryl Vanegas of Florida, and Serenity Moore (Michelle) of North Carolina; sons, John Kreman (Jackie), and Jeff Kreman, all of California; sisters, Sherry Truedeau of Michigan, Susan Burkhart of California, Barbara Atkinson, Carol Rawlins and Melanie Gilg, all of California; brothers, David Myers and Martin Kreman, both of California; and grandchildren, John, Jacob, Haliey, Allison, Ethan, Isaiah, Noah, Alexandre, David, Dustin, Alyssia, Briana, and Cullen.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, John Kreman; sisters, Linda Myers and Michelle Myers; and brother, Jeffery Kreman.
The family would like to thank the 3rd Floor ICU Staff at Carolina East Medical Center for their hard work and dedication.
