Jack J. Dail, 77, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Carteret Health Care.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Broad Creek United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Ben Ball. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Jack enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet S. Dail, of the home; daughters, Teresa Hansley and her significant other, Eugene Hodges, of Newport and Carla Sweet of Newport; sister, Wendy Troup of Newport; brothers, Jimmy Dail and his wife, Ann, of Newport, Ed Dail of Newport, Dalton Dail of Newport and Pete Dail of Newport; grandchildren, Lauren Hepler, Bob Hansley and his wife, Jennifer, Taylor Sweet; great-grandchildren, Carolina Hepler and Parker Hansley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Martha Dail.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home.
