Irene (Murphy) O'Neal

Irene (Murphy) O’Neal, 55, of Newport, received her glorified body, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, and is now walking the streets of gold with her Lord.
She was a member of Community Baptist Church where she spent many years as treasurer and assistant Sunday school teacher. She loved her family and friends, and was always willing to help others.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Community Baptist Church, Newport, with Pastor Ken Bartholomew officiating. Assisting will be Pastor Billy Knox, Pastor Rick Aldridge, and Dr. Robert Joyner. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park, Morehead City.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years Walt O’Neal; mother Betty Gibble, Beaufort; sisters Pauline Shipman and husband Sam, Havelock; Patricia Salter, Havelock; brothers Michael Gibble, Trenton; Rex Gibble and wife Natalie, Harkers Island. Nieces and Nephews Renee Adams and husband Kevin, James Gray, Michelle Gray, Raymond Gray and wife Sarah, Brittney Gibble, Alexis Clevenger, Dequonia Gibble.
Many great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Munden Funeral Home & Crematory Friday, January 11, 2013, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
