Inez Slaughter Roper

Inez Slaughter Roper, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A funeral service for Inez, will be held at 2:00 on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Newport with Rev. Bob Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Cannady Cemetery in Newport.
Inez is survived by her sons, Mike Parker and wife Joanna of Raleigh, Raymond Parker of Bogue; sister, Claudette Jenkins of Morehead City; grandchildren, Kyle Parker, Matt Parker, Corey Parker; great grandchildren, Conner and Noland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Roper; parents, Andrew and Lela Simmons Slaughter; sister, Pauline Loulies; brothers, Bernice Slaughter, Vernon Slaughter, Mather Slaughter, Roger Slaughter, AJ Slaughter.
A visitation for Inez will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Holly Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Newport.
