Ida "Ruth" (Chenoweth) Swecker

Ida "Ruth" Swecker, 78, of Newport, passed away, Monday, February 3, 2014.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James G. Chadwick officiating.
She is survived by six children, Dale Swecker of California, Bill Swecker and wife Pam of Havelock, Perry Swecker and wife Dawn of Delaware, Anna Shifflett of Newport, Kevin Swecker and wife Kathy of New Bern and Patty Rippeth and husband Mark of Newport; eight grandchildren, Tabitha, Billy, Jr. , Lee, Leisa, Ann, Christopher, Jaime and Rusty; eight great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Arianna, Jon, Emma, Aydin, Joscelyn, Rylea and Jayden; four brothers, Ronnie Chenoweth, Donnie Chenoweth, Gary Chenoweth, and Bobby Chenoweth all of West Virginia; and four sisters, Linda White of Ohio, Tillie Biller of West Virginia, Viola Higgins of West Virginia and Brenda West of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, John and Jackie Chenoweth, mother and step-father, Grace and Glenn Stalnaker, her husband of 53 years, Leonard Swecker, brother, John Robert Chenoweth, and nephew, Ricky Chenoweth.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
