Hugh L. "Pete" Bryant

Hugh L. "Pete" Bryant, 92, of Keystone Heights, Florida, and formerly of Bettie, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the North Florida Regional Hospital.

His memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, October 13th, at Woodville Baptist Church in Bettie, where he was a member.

Hugh, or Pete as he was known to most, was born on December 19, 1928, in Zebulon, North Carolina, to the late Willie and Ophelia Bryant.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Jean Swain and husband Jeffrey of Newport; sons, David Russell Bryant and wife Bobbie of Morehead and Michael Lenear Bryant and wife Arna of Columbia Falls, MT; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Louise Bryant; daughter, Bennie Lynn Melton; and grandson, David Wesley Dement.
