Horace "Tump" Woodell Long

Horace "Tump" Long, 89, of Beaufort, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at home surrounded by family.
A funeral will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Live Oak Grove Christian Church with Rev. Bill Pollock officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
Horace was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a hard worker.
He is survived by his wife Georgia Mae Long of the home; a daughter Janet Guthrie and husband Bill of Beaufort; sons Ronald Long of Beaufort, Wayne Long of Beaufort, Mike Long and wife Lolly of Beaufort, and Keith Long and wife Tina of Beaufort; sister Mattie Inez Harrell of Newport; brother Johnny Long of Newport; nine grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cleveland and Belle Long, and nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
