Homer H. Wellons, Jr., 74, of Newport, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Bryan Sibley officiating.
Mr. Homer will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by three daughters Anna Wellons Estep and husband Douglas of Newport, Garrette Wellons Pierce of Florida, and Lisa Wellons Hamling of Georgia; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters Julia Svoboda of Newport, Jane Rubin of Newport, and Jane Elizabeth Zuboni of Wilmington; and several nieces and nephews.
