Homer W. Reynolds, Jr., 81, of Havelock, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Cherry Point Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock.
Homer worked for Trader Construction for over 20 years in New Bern. As an outdoor man, he spent a lot of time in his garden, as well as hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed being a member of the Cahooque Creek Hunting Club. Homer was a skilled carpenter and craftsman that will be remembered for his sense of humor and unguarded demeanor.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra L. Stuart of Havelock and Deann M. Roser-Marion and husband, Ricky Marion of DeLand, FL; brother, Norman Reynolds and wife Shirley of Havelock; grandchildren, Samantha M. Trexler, Marshall S. Trexler, Daniel W. Roser; and great-grandchildren, Alexander B. Perez, Cora E. Trexler and Luka W. Trexler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Helen Reynolds; and brothers, Robert L. Reynolds and Paul Reynolds.
The family will receive friends following the service on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 8180 Greensboro Dr., Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102.
