Hilda Sandlin (“Granny”), with her family around her, was at home when she went to receive her just rewards. After a courageous battle, this was a blessed day.
She is survived by her son, Robert C. “Stick” Sandlin, Jr and partner, Millie Shinn; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Sandlin and Ashley Sandlin; Millie's son and his wife, John and Lori Willard; and 2 great grandchildren, Nora and James Willard. Hilda also leaves behind many family members and friends.
Even to the end, Hilda worried about us more than herself. In lieu of flowers, Granny would love for you to do something nice for someone else.
We appreciate the efforts of the healthcare professionals who fought this battle with us. A special thanks to the special ladies who made Granny's last days pleasant and comfortable. Much love to all of you.
Funeral services will be held at Straits United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m.
