Hetty "Betty" (Potterton) Schofield

Hetty "Betty" Potterton Schofield, 86, of Beaufort , died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Schofield was a member of Wildwood Presbyterian Church.

Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by four sons, Robert Charles Schofield, Jr. of Kinston, James Edward Schofield of Beaufort, Philip Roger Schofield and wife Janice of Newport and John Allen Schofield of Beaufort; two granddaughters, Hetty S. Wallace and husband Edward of South River and Judy K. Schofield of Beaufort; and two grandsons, Joe Katen of Mill Creek and Tim Lindquist of Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Schofield, Sr. and her parents, Reuben and Maggie Potterton.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
