Herman Arthur

Herman L. Arthur Sr., 81, of Bettie, NC passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Welcome Home Free will Baptist Church in Bettie, NC with Pastor James Gurganus officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Arthur of the home; one daughter, Phyllis A. Smith of Beaufort, NC; one son, Herman L. Arthur, Jr. and wife Patty P. Arthur of Beaufort, NC; two sisters, Jean Murphy of Marshallberg, NC and Mona Davis of Beaufort, NC; two grandchildren, Katie Fulton, and husband Chuckie Fulton and Benjamin Arthur; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nannie Piver Arthur; one brother, Clifton Arthur; and one son-in-law, Wayne Smith
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Crystal Coast Hospice House, PO Box 640 Newport, NC 28570.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
