Henry Ralph Hamilton, Sr.

Ralph Hamilton, Sr., 79, of Harkers Island died Friday, August 1, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 Monday at Grace Holiness Church, Harkers Island, NC with Rev. Curtis Goings officiating. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.
He was a commercial fisherman, and was well known for making fishing nets throughout the county.
He is survived by three children, Velvet Kirk and husband Tim of Morehead City, Randy Hamilton and wife Melodie of Harkers Island, and Ralphie Hamilton and wife Lisa of Otway; his beloved dog Neal; four grandchildren. Leranda, Bobby, Dustin, and Anna; two great grandchildren, Shelby, and Molly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, parents, Henry and Rosabell Hamilton, and a sister, Merlene Resor.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
