Henrietta “Rita” Margaret Stephens, 85 of Crab Point, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Crab Point Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Francis Garner officiating. Burial will follow the service at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Rita is survived by her daughters Rosemary Prescott Dunn of Morehead City, Teresa Lindler May of Havelock, and Debra Lindler Spencer and husband Walter of West Columbia, S.C., her sisters Dorothy Dittman Fisher of Florida and Katherine Dittman Appleby of Georgia, her grandchildren Margaret Dunn Averitt, Angela Dunn, Howard May, Michael May, and Amanda Spencer Altman (Russell), and her great grandchildren Alexander Dunn, Sidney Edwards, Gabrielle Edwards, Brendan Dunn, Josiah Altman, and Thomas May.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Herbert Austin Prescott and Howard Franklin Lindler and by her granddaughter Samantha Dunn.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
