Helen Grace (Mitchell) Fillingame

Helen Grace (Mitchell) Fillingame, 87, passed away February 15, 2019, at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dunn, North Carolina.

Her funeral will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home, 2112 Arendell Street, Morehead City, North Carolina.  The family will receive friends one hour prior. A private interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park in Newport, North Carolina.

She was born to the late John William Mitchell and Myrtie Cottle Mitchell on March 14, 1931, in Kenansville, North Carolina.  She was married to the late Laurie Wardell Fillingame in 1957 and resided in Beaufort, North Carolina until his death in 1984.

Helen is survived by her three precious daughters, Evelyn Grace Andrews and Doris Jean Tew, both of Clinton, North Carolina and Barbara Ann Long of Wilmington, North Carolina; and her precious grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, husband and grandson.

Family will be receiving friends and family from 2 p.m. till 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at the home of Evelyn Andrews in Clinton, NC.
