Harry Thomas Willis, Jr.

Harry Thomas Willis, Jr., 82, of Davis, formerly of Morehead City, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 Wednesday at Bayview Cemetery.
Harry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He served in the US Coast Guard after graduating high school. He was a commercial fisherman and worked for Omega Protein until he retired in 1990. He loved spending his time fishing, hunting, and gardening.
Harry was born November 22, 1931 to the late Harry Thomas Willis and Annie Mason Willis of Morehead City. He is survived by his wife Jeanine Roberts Willis; two daughters Debbie Jeanine Rannells and husband Mike of Greenville, SC, and Katherine Willis; six grandchildren Kandance Hux and husband Matthew of Virginia Beach, VA, Ashley Eakes and husband Cody of Greenville, NC, Anthony Debruhl of Greenville, SC, Christopher Moyer of St. Augustine, FL, Michael, and Ryan Rannells of Greenville,SC; and three great grandchildren Kaleb Eakes, Harrison, and Layne Hux.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Pearl Willis Guthrie.
The family would like to Thank the doctors and staff of Carteret General Hospital (second floor), as well as the staff of Carolina Hospice House. A special Thank You to Rev. Jim Mercer of Davis, and Rev. Ernest Laxton of Stacy, and many friends for their outpouring of love and support during this time.
