Harry Holmes Mizelle

Harry Mizelle, 92, of Newport, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Croatan Ridge Nursing Home.
Mr. Harry was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a rural mail carrier for 40 years in the Newport area.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday at Cedar Grove Cemetery in New Bern with Rev. Susan Lindblade officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Mizelle of the home; two daughters, Carol Mizelle Willis and husband Bennie of Newport and Janet Mizelle Hope and husband Michael of Pine, CO; sister, Marianna M. Brown of Newport; very close family friend, Alan Millis and wife Bernadette and grandchildren, Janina Millis and Benjamin Millis of Newport.
Memorials may be made to the Matthew 25 fund at St. James United Methodist Church, PO Box 250, Newport, NC 28570 or to a charity of one's choice.
