Harold "Reide" Blake III

Harold "Reide" Blake III, 45, of Newport, NC, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 30th, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.

Reide was born in Greenville, NC, on December 25, 1977, to Harold Reide Blake Jr. and Tena Craven Maddrey. One of his achievements in his youth was becoming an Eagle Scout in Boys Scouts of America.

Reide had a deep love for his family, friends, animals, and his beloved boxer Penelope. He never met a stranger and had a unique sense of humor. He was always the life of a party and had a contagious smile. He enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and cars, listening to music, and making others laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends!

Reide is survived by his loving and supportive mother, Tena Maddrey of Newport; father, "Buddy" Blake and wife Debra of Ayden; brothers, Jordan Blake "little fuzzy" and fiancé Danielle Moss of Ayden, and Dallas Taylor of Ayden; sisters, Desiree Willis and husband Jody of Newport, Erin Warner and husband Michael of Newport, and Ashley Landers and husband Jesse of Tarpon Springs, Florida; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any animal shelter in memory of Reide.
