Harold Mehan, 83, of Newport, died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A private family graveside service will be held Sunday.
Mr.Mehan served in the United States Air Force and Merchant Marines, and worked over 30 years at NADEP.
He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; sons Mark Mehan and wife Mary Ann of Newport, Steve Mehan of Beaufort, and Dan Mehan and wife Catherine of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.
