Guy A. McFarland
August 12, 1926 — February 23, 2015
Guy McFarland, 88, of Pine Knoll Shores, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital.
The family will conduct private services.
Guy attended the Citadel at age 17. He then volunteered for the US Army, serving in World War II in the Pacific. Guy traveled all around the United States while pursuing his career. He retired from Lockheed Martin as an engineer specializing in flight simulators, and in 1988, Guy settled in Pine Knoll Shores to be near his family.
He is survived by a niece, Mariana Goldstein; nephew, Ben Goldstein and wife Ellen; and great-niece and nephew, Mary and Benjamin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Marietta McFarland; sister, Ginger Goldstein; brother-in-law, Jack Goldstein; and his beloved dog Mitzi.
The family would like to thank the Egret Lake Drive community for their support and kindness towards Guy.
