Gurman B. Carroll, Sr., 70 of Newport, died Monday, June 16, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.

He is survived by a daughter Annette Eubanks of the home; a son Gurman B. Carroll, Jr. of Newport; a sister Cindy Welch of New Bern; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his wife Helen Carroll, and parents Benjamin and Jeanette Carroll.
