Grace was born on August 19, 1931, to the late Billy and Agnes Hamilton. Born and raised on Harkers Island, Grace was extremely proud of her Down East Heritage. Being from the coast she loved seafood, especially oysters. Her cooking skills were a source of joy for her family, as she often spoiled them with her delicious home-cooked meals.

Grace's faith became a significant aspect of her life, she attended Grace Holiness Church and recently professed Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.

Grace served as a mother figure to many, extending her loving kindness to everyone she encountered. Her family affectionately described her as a "tough cookie," a testament to her strength and determination—qualities that defined her remarkable journey. And her witty sense of humor always kept everyone in good spirits.

Always stylish, Grace was known for her vibrant fashion sense, with red being her signature color. She enjoyed shopping at Walmart and finding treasures at thrift stores. A cherished cat lover, she loved their companionship. After being a lifelong Democrat, she showed great joy in knowing that President Donald Trump was reelected.

Above all, Grace was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family held the deepest value in her life, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Greta White (Brad) of New Bern and Karen Brooks (Donnie) of Harkers Island, NC; sons, Jimmy Willis (Dondra) of Cape Carteret, NC and Tommie Bourbeau (Carolyn-Kiki) of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Allen Sutton, Sean Sutton, Justin Bourbeau, Travis Bourbeau, Amanda Boone, Allison Fulcher, Madisyn Willis, John Kutter Sugg, Michael Wooten, and Angie Wooten; great-grandchildren, Willow, Colton, Lawson, Dallis, Brooke, Brady, Josalynn, Ollie, Melody, Riley, Donovan; great-great-grandchildren, Coraline, Erik, Easton, Jonathan, and Addison; loving nieces, Jeniffer, Suzette, Pam, Judy, and Kay; and special cousin, Dawn.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Willis; son, John Kevin Willis; sister, Minnie Evelyn Willis; and brothers, Garland Hamilton and Lester Hamilton.
