A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Greer Holloway Begbie. Born in Greensboro, N.C., the daughter of Ruth Click Rosenstein and the late Robert Greer Holloway. Greer lived most of her life in Mount Laurel/Marlton, New Jersey. She moved to Morehead City, N.C. in 2021.
Dance was a big part of her life as a child, performing with the New York City Ballet, and as a young adult performing in several Atlantic City production shows. She continued her love of dance by teaching dance lessons while raising her family. Greer attended Glassboro State College and the College of Performing Arts in Philadelphia. She married her high school sweetheart Douglas Begbie.
Greer maintained childhood friendships throughout her life and most of all cherished time spent with her family, friends, and pups. Being empty nesters, Doug retired in 2021 and they moved to Morehead City. Enjoying a calmer life of dining, boating, hosting, and the beach life.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Douglas Charles Begbie of the home; son, Christopher Douglas Begbie (Nicole Elizabeth Begbie, and granddaughters, Isla Birdie Begbie and Keeley Bea Begbie); daughter, Jenna Greer Begbie; mother, Ruth Click Rosenstein; sister, Lynn Holloway Mosier (David Mosier Jr.); sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Greer Holloway.
Greer urges everyone to get a colonoscopy, it would have given her many more years.
