Grady Fulcher, Sr.

Grady Wendell Fulcher, Sr., 86, of  Sea Level, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at Carolina East Medical Center.

His funeral service will be held 2:00 Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Earnest Laxton officiating. Interment will follow at Stacy Community Cemetery.

Grady served the United States Coast Guard 22 years and retired in 1970 with the rank of E-9 Master Chief. He also worked for the State Ferry Division of operations for 19 years and retired in 1989. He was loved by many people and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Taylor Fulcher of 60 years; two sons, Grady W. Fulcher, Jr. and wife Cheryl and David A. Fulcher and wife Shela; five grandchildren, Grady W. "Trey" Fulcher lll, John Curtis Fulcher, Eleanor Ruth Fulcher, Ashton Davis Fulcher and Bailey Elizabeth Fulcher; two brothers, Winston Lionel Fulcher and Melvin Ray Fulcher and wife Vicki. two brothers- in-law, Tilman A. Taylor Jr. and Wife Gloria; and brother-in-law Harry Taylor Sr. and wife Deanna; three sisters-in-law, Rubye Edwards, Susan Lindemann, and Sandy Fulcher and many nieces and nephews that he loved.

He was preceded in death by his infant son; his parents Monnie Holland Fulcher and Vienna Gaskill Fulcher; three brothers, Monnie Holland Fulcher Jr., Wesley Gordon Fulcher and Roland Lee Fulcher.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home.
