Grace Dorsey

Mrs. Eleanor Grace Dorsey, 70, of Newport, NC, passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 21, 2010.
A viewing will be held at Munden Funeral Home on Friday, September 24th, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by a graveside ceremony at 2:00 pm for the family at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington, NC, with Rev. Jack Mumford officiating.
Mrs. Dorsey was born February 25, 1940 in Washington, Beaufort County, NC, to the late Levy and Minnie Jefferson. She retired from IBM after 30 years of service, and worked locally at Sportsman?s Pier, On a Roll Deli, and Bayside Restaurant in Havelock.
She is survived by her husband John, son Daniel and wife Melissa Mitchell of Ashtabula, OH; two daughters, Brenda Winston and husband Wesleyof Timberlake, NC, and Donna Conley and husband Craig of Havelock, NC; two grandchildren, Jennifer Leogrande and Maximillian Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Dylan Leogrande; two brothers; Clyde and Russell Jefferson, and sister Pauline Davis.
She was preceded in death by sons Joseph and Douglas Mitchell, four brothers, and three sisters.
