Gordon McGee Brinson, 82, of Swansboro, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Cedar Point Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by his son-in-law, Pastor David Harper.

He was born and lived his whole life in Carteret County. He was a generous man that loved to talk and help others. He was the owner and operator of Brinson and Sons, specializing in under pinning for mobile homes.

He was a loving husband, father, and Papa that led a Godly life and set an example for his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Harper and husband David of Newport, Carol Settle and husband Walter of Newport, and Brenda West of Swansboro; sons, Terry Brinson of Newport and Ricky Brinson and fiancée Jill Bell of Newport; brother, David Schrader and wife Kimberly of Swainsboro, GA; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Judith Lee Buck Brinson; father, Cecil Roy Brinson; and his mother, Edith Estelle Schrader.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for funeral expenses, c/o Munden Funeral Home, PO Box 69, Morehead City, NC 28557.
