Goldie Deitrich (Gilliken) Hall

Goldie Gilliken Hall, daughter of Bert and Rosa Arthur Gilliken, was born in 1922 in Beaufort, N. C. She graduated from Beaufort High School and entered employment at the Marine Corps Naval Air Station, Cherry Point. She retired in 1973 as Chief of Personnel.
Goldie was married in 1946 to Randall Fletcher Hall of Newport. They had no children but were loving aunt and uncle to their nieces and nephews. Goldie was a loving and faithful friend to many people in and around Carteret County. She will be greatly mourned and missed.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Gurganus officiating.
She is survived by nephews Gary Gillikin of Newport, John Gillikin of Mebane. Paul Abolila, Carrboro, N.C., Peter Abolila, Miami, Fla., and nieces Rose Crawford, Carrboro, N.C., Lillian Gilliken, Portland, OR., and Sarah Bailey, Ocala, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and eleven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
