Gloria (Garner) Murdoch

Gloria Murdoch, 68, of Newport, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Life Care Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday at Saint James United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Supple officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Gloria attended St. James United Methodist Church. She was a founding member of the Wildwood Fire Department, a member of ladies Auxillary, and treasurer of the Fire Department for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband Mac Murdoch of the home; two daughters Debora Murdoch Harrell and husband Robert of Newport, and Angela Murdoch Cates and husband Patrick of Newport; two brothers Morgan Garner of Newport, and Keith Garner and wife Julie of Newport; and five grandchildren Laura Harrell, John Harrell and wife Kayley, Andy Harrell, Caleb Cates, and Hayley Cates.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Mildred Garner.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
